Course profile:

The curriculum for the Diploma in Nursing programme is based on the national requirements from the Malaysia Nursing Board and is fully approved. A feature of the programme is that it gives the student a wide variety of experience in the different fields of nursing. By the end of the programme, the student will be able to decide what particular area he or she wishes to join.

Entry requirements :

  • For Malaysian Candidates

    1. Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or *EQUIVALENT with five (5) credits
    2. Mandatory credit in:
      • Bahasa Melayu
      • Mathematics (Elementary or Additional or Modern)
        Either one (1) of the credits below:
      • General Science
      • Biology
      • Chemistry and Pass in Biology
      • Physics and Pass in Biology
    3. Credit in two (2) other subjects
    4. Pass in English

    For International Candidates

    1. Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or *EQUIVALENT with five (5) credits:
    2. Mandatory credit in :
      • Mathematics (Elementary or Additional or Modern)
        Either one (1) of the credits below:
      • General Science
      • Biology
      • Chemistry and Pass in Biology
      • Physics and Pass in Biology
    3. Credit in there (3) other subjects
    4. A pass in International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with an Overall Band Score of minimum 5.5; OR
      Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL):
      • TOEFL Paper Based Test (TOEFL PBT) a minimum score of 515
      • TOEFL Computer Based Test (TOEFL CBT) a minimum score of 215
      • TOEFL Internet Based Test (TOEFL iBT) a minimum score of 80.
    5. Able to converse in Bahasa Melayu.

    (*EQUIVALENT – refers to the overseas academic qualification obtained that is equivalent to SPM as approved by MQA)
    Healthy Status:

    1. All candidates must be certified medically fit by a registered medical practitioner within one month from commencement of the nursing programme.
    2. Candidates with any of the following medical conditions cannot be admitted into the programme such as:
      • HIV/AIDS
      • Hepatitis B
      • Hepatitis C
      • Mental health disorders
      • Epilepsy
      • Colour blindness
    3. Candidates must not have any physical disabilities or impaired senses that hinder nursing dexterity.
    4. Pregnancy is not allowed throughout the course.
