Course Overview

Our professional communication students will gain ample exposure`to real-world practices with real world practitioners within the field. Through meticulously designed projects, industrial training and frequent seminars by notable speakers, a holistic education is part of our students’ development.

The programme is designed to enhance students’ versatility ton the knowledge and skill set required in the professional field of media and communication. Students will be exposed to industry practices and have hands-on experience of working with real-life industry pitches, projects, and assignments. We aim to produce graduates who are industry ready, who can make a positive impact on any organisation as soon as they begin their chosen career.

Entry Requirements

Malaysian Students 

  • Pass Matriculation under the Ministry of Education or IUMW Foundation Studies with at least a CGPA of 2.00 and a credit in English* at SPM level, or equivalent; OR
  • Possess a Diploma (minimum CGPA of 2.00) and a credit in English* at SPM level, or equivalent; OR
  • Possess a Diploma in Media and Communication, or equivalent; OR
  • Pass STPM with at least Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in two (2) subjects and a credit in English* at SPM level, or equivalent; OR
  • Pass STAM with minimum Jayyid and a credit in English* at SPM level, or equivalent; OR
  • Pass UEC with minimum of Grade B in at least five (5) subjects; OR
  • Fulfill other entry requirements that are recognised by the University Senate

* This requirement could be waived if the qualification includes English subject and the student achieved a grade that is equivalent to or above the requirement at SPM level or its equivalent
+ Minimum three (3) credits in SPM are required for PTPTN application

International Students 

  • A-Level with minimum of Grade D in any two (2) subjects, or its equivalent; and a credit in English at O-Level, or its equivalent; AND
  • Achieve a minimum score of 5.0 in International English Language Testing system (IELTS), or its equivalent
