Bachelor Of Engineering (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering (3+0)
This programme provides a well-established balance between theory and practical. The curriculum consists of a good mix of general courses as well as core Mechanical Engineering courses. The first year of the course provides a foundational grounding in engineering. You’ll then study more advanced principles of mechanics, manufacturing technology, energy systems and engineering design, potentially working on industry projects in the final year.

This programme prepares you with a solid in foundation in Mechanical Engineering to enable you to pursue a Master’s degree in the areas of Mechanical and Mechatronics in both coursework as well as research mode.
The delivery of this programme in the UK is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as an Incorporated Engineer and partially meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer.
STPM: 2 Principal Passes including Math and Physical Science subject (Physics/Chemistry)
GCE A Level: 2 Principal Passes including Mathematics and Physical Science subject (Physics/Chemistry)
UEC: 5 Credits (Min B6) including Mathematics and one Science subject
Matriculation/ Foundation: Pass with CGPA ≥ 2.00 including Mathematics and Science subject
Australian Matriculation/ Foundation: ATAR score of 70
International Baccalaureate (IB): 27/42 points from 6 subjects
Diploma in Engineering: Recognised Diploma with CGPA ≥ 2.50 for entry into Year 2; Below CGPA 2.50 for entry into Year 1
Advance standing for those transferring from other degree/diploma programmes subject to approval of Northumbria University.
