About Taylor's University
Taylor's University is a member of the Taylor's Education Group, which also comprises Taylor's College, Garden International School, Australian International School Malaysia, Sri Garden Schools, Nexus International School, Putrajaya and Nexus International School Singapore. Since its inception in 1969, Taylor's has become one of Malaysia's most successful and reputable private higher education institutions.
Taylor's has continuously provided excellent services for its students in terms of diverse study options, relevant curriculum and teaching methods, ongoing partnerships with leading universities worldwide, strong industry linkages, up-to-date facilities and well-equipped campuses.
Taylor's was also voted as the Most Popular Private College and/or University in Malaysia for a consecutive two years in 2008 and 2009, out of more than 100 other institutions. These results were based on the Malaysian Student Survey which surveyed close to 9,000 respondents aged 16 to 19.
In July 2010 Taylor's University was rated as 'Tier 5: Excellent' by the Ministry of Higher Education in the 2009 Malaysian Qualifications Agency Rating System for Malaysian Higher Education Institutions (SETARA '09), which measures quality of teaching and learning at the undergraduate level in universities and university colleges in Malaysia.
In 2010, Taylor's won the Putra Brand Award (Gold) in the Education & Learning category; another testament of its unwavering commitment to deliver the best in education. This recognition from the industry and 6,000 consumers who were involved in the online survey adds another feather in the cap for Taylor's. Taylor's University won the Gold Award again in 2011 and 2012, reinforcing Taylor's reputation as the people's choice.
Winning the Reader's Digest Trusted Brands Gold Award for two consecutive years - 2011 and 2012, an award that demonstrates true consumer trust through an independent survey, also illustrated Taylor's solid place in the hearts of many Malaysians. Achieving Trusted Brands status is a genuine recognition of consumers' approval as the survey reflects consumers' choice of their most trusted and favourite brands among the thousands available in the market.
Taylor's University was name the Best Brand in the Education category for Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts, at the Brand Laureates SMEs Chapter Awards 2011. Being awarded for its dedication and quality education in the field of hospitality, tourism and culinary arts under the Corporate Branding category serves as a great start for the year 2012 for Taylor's University.
In July 2011, Taylor's University achieved yet another first when it received the biggest research grant awarded to a Private University by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), under the Long Research Grant Scheme (LRGS). The award of the RM9million grant demonstrates the government's confidence in Taylor's research and development strengths as well as its ability to deliver on such a huge project.
The Taylor's University Lakeside Campus received the prestigious PAM Gold Award in September 2011 from Pertubuhan Arkitek Malaysia (PAM), in Category 5 (Education), for its inspiring architecture and landscape. The PAM awards are the premier architecture awards in Malaysia, held bi-annually to recognise the best in architectural work around Malaysia.
