Course Overview

Smart technologies and devices are changing the way we live, work and interact with one another. The technologies have boosted the efficiency, productivity and functionality of almost anything from home to industries. The Electrical and Electronics (E&E) sector has become the key driving force behind this digital revolution. In Malaysia, the sector has contributed RM80 billion to Malaysia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2018 and created more than 338,087 jobs – additional 157,000 new jobs will be created by 2020. Currently, there is an urgent need to produce skilled manpower in the areas of electronic engineering and technology.

Entry Requirement

  • STPM with minimum 2 Principal Passes and a credit in SPM Additional Mathematics OR STPM Principal Pass in Mathematics OR
  • A-Level with minimum 2 Passes and a credit in SPM / O-Level Additional Mathematics OR A-Level Pass in Mathematics OR
  • South Australian Matriculation (SAM) with an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and Grade B in 2 subjects including Mathematics OR
  • Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with 70% in 6 relevant subjects including 2 Mathematics subjects OR
  • Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with Grade B in 5 relevant subjects including Mathematics OR
  • Foundation in Science, Unicersiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) OR
  • Foundation in the relevant field from other Institutions of Higher Learning and a credit in SPM / O-Level Additional Mathematics / equivalent OR
  • Matriculation Certificate in the relevant field, Ministry of Education and a credit in SPM Additional Mathematics OR
  • Diploma in relevant field, Tunku Abdul Rahman University of College (TAR UC) and a credit in SPM / O-Level Additional Mathematics / equivalent OR
  • Diploma in the relevant field from other Institutions of Higher Learning and a credit in SPM / O-Level Additional Mathematics / equivalent OR
  • Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government and a credit in SPM / O-Level Additional Mathematics / equivalent
